American architect Frank Barkow presents a lecture entitled “Revolutions of Choice.” Barkow was educated at Montana State University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. The architect’s work is focused on materiality: the potential innovations that exist in material handcraft and technology. He co-founded Barkow Leibinger with Regine Leibinger, a Berlin-based architectural practice known for industrial architecture. He begins by explaining the structure of the practice (and the lecture) which is centered on the relationship between three aspects of architecture: academics, research, and practice.
