The second part of this event on digital fabrication begins with a lecture by Pratt faculty member Lawrence Blough. He received his B.Arch. from Tulane University and his M.S. from Columbia University. He founded Graftworks, a New York-based architecture practice and was Senior Associate in a nonprofit architecture and urbanism research foundation in New Haven, Connecticut. Blough talks about architecture research and the cross-pollination of applied practice and pedagogical approaches. He is followed by fellow Pratt faculty member David Ruy who received his M.Arch degree from Columbia University and his BA in Philosophy and Mathematics from St. John’s College. Ruy talks about concerns regarding “mood and material” in digital fabrication.
