Dylan is an interior design graduate student at Pratt, currently working on his thesis which explores the intersection between tourism and design. This past summer he resided in Tulum, Mexico performing field research in preparation for his design thesis. This lecture will discuss how his unexpected experience in Tulum reshaped his perspective towards local environmental issues. Through sharing his personal travel experience, Dylan will provide a narrative that calls attention to the environmental impact of tourism as it relates to global/local relationships.
