Multi-award winning, Paris-based French architect Dominique Perrault who designed the French National Library, presents four competition-entry design projects. He begins the lecture by presenting a design for the World Trade Center in Seoul, a competition entry that did not win and continues with another design in Seoul, the competition-winning design for Ewha Womans University. Perrault follows with the design of La Caja Mágica, a tennis stadium in Madrid which hosts the Madrid Open and concludes with the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. The presentations of the four varied projects follow a similar pattern, starting with an overview of urban qualities and then focussing in on intricate details and materiality.
