Dutch artist, architect and author Lars Spuybroek talks about the relationship between ideology and methodology in architecture. The multidisciplinary architect was educated at Delft University of Technology and has an extensive publication history. He begins his lecture by showing a diagram of his most recent book, NOX: Machining Architecture. He discusses machining, engineering and constructivism before going into his methods and processes of practice starting with the design for a new WTC on ground zero. He presents a collection of projects defined by digitally produced curving and sinuous forms.
