The Pratt School of Architecture is hosting an exhibition of one of the first women graduates from the Bachelor of Architecture program at Pratt Institute. Curated by Jesse Reiser and Nanako Umemoto, the exhibition showcases Debora’s 75-year career in architecture exemplified an uncompromising commitment to a “feminist total design” at a time when women had yet to be fully accepted within the discipline and profession.
On September 12th at 6:15 pm there was a celebration of Reiser’s life, structured around an open conversation with people who have worked with Debora Reiser, clients, and others who spoke to her importance. It was structured as a series of short 5-minute talks, which set the stage for a lively conversation followed by a reception and viewing of the exhibition.
