The Pratt School of Architecture hosted an exhibition honoring Debora Reiser, one of the first women to graduate from Pratt Institute’s Bachelor of Architecture program. Curated by Jesse Reiser and Nanako Umemoto, the exhibition traced Debora’s 75-year career, defined by her steadfast commitment to a feminist total design approach at a time when women were still fighting for recognition in the field of architecture.
A public program took place on September 12 at 6:15 PM, featuring a celebratory conversation on Reiser’s life and legacy. The event brought together colleagues, collaborators, and clients who shared brief five-minute reflections on her influence, followed by an open dialogue with the audience. A reception and exhibition viewing followed.
