The Prefabrication Conference explores the future of prefabrication in architectural education and practice. It begins with businessman Avi Telyas, an avid collector of architectural models and owner of an industrialized construction company. The Harvard-educated businessman describes his background and his experience in the manufacturing and construction industries. Telyas is followed by Kent Larson, an architect and researcher at MIT. Larson explores the transitions in industry at the time and a potential collective retreat to working from home. He describes his research that focuses on computational solutions to domestic and professional use of buildings. The discussion is continued with lectures by Professor of Architectural Theory at London Metropolitan University Colin Davies and Design Director at the Walker Art Center Andrew Blauvelt.
