For her CTL Fellows’ project, Liz embarked on ethnographic research that sought to provide spaces for faculty to learn from one another about their approaches to liberal arts reading, writing, researching and thinking skills in the context of widespread AI use. Throughout her research this year, Liz pursued questions like, What is the purpose of writing in the liberal arts in a post-AI world? How are Pratt faculty developing approaches to teaching and learning that respond to AI's presence and uses in the classroom? How does this presence incite opportunities for a remaking of pedagogies and classroom practices that center intellectual flourishing within the context of, and in spite of, AI's presence and capabilities? Come hear her reflections in this informative session.
