Performance architect Alex Schweder presents his work which blurs the lines between art and architecture. Schweder received his B.Arch degree from Pratt and his M.Arch from Princeton before completing his PhD in Architecture at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He talks about the standard expectation of safety in buildings and how that extends to psychological safety. He explores these notions with the help of art which allows for things to be “messy”. Schweder tries to blur the lines between art and architecture in their respective “homes”; the museum exhibit and the human residence.
