Artist and Educator Helen Britton presents an Archival Exhibition and Artist Talk during NYC Jewelry Week.

Stories From Elsewhere are seven vignettes into my practice taken from the past 30 years of work. My work is often driven by geographically specific lived experience that links to the stories of that place and my emotional response to them. To avoid complete chaos in my mind, I have often created bodies of work linked to these specificities for many years. In each vitrine, I hope to create something of the atmosphere that the place and the work trigger for me, and thereby give my audience a chance to learn about the stories I tell through my practice.
