Adaptive Re-use in Denmark: Cities and Buildings
Eva Grell Frederiksen
Adaptive re-use is an integral component of contemporary design practice in Denmark. Conversion of urban areas and old buildings into something better suited for contemporary purposes requires knowledge of our built heritage. Cultural, site-specific, and material aspects play a key role, as do sustainable strategies. This lecture will explain and analyze Danish examples of adaptive re-use.
