Architecture Lecture Series: Neil Denari, "The System of Architecture"

Los Angeles-based architect Neil Denari is known for his work analyzing the relationship between architecture, technology and the philosophical questions of humanity. Denari starts out by describing the typical timeline of a career in architecture, explaining that it is inherently experimental and that craft follows a honing of skill. The professor and author goes over the parallels between architecture, product design and the natural world before moving on to present a group of his projects ranging from residential to public and commercial buildings. He starts out with the design of a building adjacent to the High Line and describes the planning and zoning implications the linear park project presented.
