The Writing and Tutorial Center offers individualized, text-based support for all students. Tutors work one-on-one to help students improve clarity, fluency, and organization in their written work. Sessions begin with a conversation about goals and assignments, and focus on developing arguments, structure, citation, and style. The Center is not an editing or proofreading service. Services include: ● One-time and recurring appointments (required for grad thesis mentoring) ● Walk-in sessions (last resort only; appointments are encouraged) ● Online tutoring (in-person preferred) ● Conversation sessions for second-language learners ● History of Art and Design content tutoring Each session is one hour and covers up to 5 pages of writing. Printed work is preferred. Students may also bring additional materials.
