The Counseling Center offers counseling consultations by licensed psychologists and clinical social workers in person or virtually. To schedule an appointment, students can contact the Center at (718) 687-5356 or therapy@pratt.edu. Crisis counseling consultation services are available 24/7 at (718) 687-5356 if a student has an urgent concern and needs to speak to someone immediately. They can help students go to a hospital for further assessment, if needed. You can also call the Center at (718) 687-5356 or Public Safety at (718) 636-3540 if you feel that you have received information about a student that requires immediate support. After the consultation appointment, students will be provided with recommendations such as goal-oriented individual therapy, group therapy, or referrals to therapists in the community. Examples of group therapy include addressing substance misuse, grief and loss, wise-mind emotional regulation, and body image, among others. Educational peer-supported groups include Clean Cats for students who want to socialize without substance use, recovery supp
