Lands of Trust - CEL Capstone 2023

According to First Peoples Fund market research, approximately 30% of all Native (American) peoples are practicing or potential artists living below the poverty line. Globally, government and social organizations attempt to preserve dying traditions and cultures, yet the urban migration continues and communities practicing traditional art forms remain resource-deficient and isolated from advancement opportunities. In what ways can LoT design a program that nurtures ecosystem quality and sustainability of indigenous culture and community?
 
In today's fast-changing world, creative and cultural leaders play a critical role in society. The Arts & Cultural Management (ACM) and Design Management (DM) programs help these leaders stay up-to-date and address social challenges. Through the Integrative Capstone Project, which is a crucial aspect of the Master in Professional Studies (MPS) degrees, participants can apply their knowledge to real-world issues. Capstone projects prioritize the 3C's (culture, community, and commerce) and/or TBLD+C (people, planet, profit by design and culture), aligning with the G20 Cultural Leaders Training Network and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The program encourages participants to lead with purpose and create positive change.
