The second part of the Louis Kahn Symposium continues with a lecture by Robert McCarter. He is an architect, professor and author of many books including Louis I. Kahn. McCarter received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from North Carolina State University and his M.Arch from Columbia. The lecture focuses on the seminal architect highlighting the key ideas that allow Kahn and his work to remain ever-relevant in the world of architecture. McCarter goes into detail about Kahn’s life and work going over the evolution of the architect’s materiality and context as well as his many influences and techniques.
