LA-based architect Eric Owen Moss received his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and M.Arch degrees from UC Berkeley and Harvard. In the lecture the architect and author begins with a description of visual perception using examples of dancers, advertisements and the Olympics. He talks about the difference between technique as opposed to substance and content. After going through a multitude of examples alluding to the deficiencies of modern society and its methods, Owen Moss describes the work of his own practice.
